Girls' Brigade

The Girls' Brigade provides training in leadership and character development.

The Programme of The Girls' Brigade is concerned with holistic development of the girls based on a four-fold programme. Each age group or section of the company has a specific badgework programme.

There are 4 independent programmes in The Girls' Brigade Singapore:
  • Junior STAR Programme (for girls between 8 to 10 years old)
  • Intermediate Programme (for girls between 11 to 12 years old)
  • Senior Programme (for girls between 13 to 14 years old)
  • Pioneer Programme (for girls between 15 to 18 years old)

To have a GB company in every Singapore School and
To have a GB presence in every country in Asia

Developing each girl and officer to her fullest potential by equipping, empowering and enabling Every Girl to be a leader, and Every Officer, a Servant Leader

History
GB 4th Singapore was founded by Mrs Elsie Lyne, the founder of GB Singapore in 1939. We were formerly known as The Girls’ Life Brigade. We took on the name of The Girls’ Brigade when the union of the three bodies: The Girls’ Life Brigade, The Girls’ Guild and The Girls’ Brigade was formally announced in 1968.
