Join PL Debate to build strong speaking and thinking skills. Our debaters have competed across major championships, earning recognition as quarter-finalists and top speakers.
PL Debate empowers students with intellectual and oratorical skills, honing their critical and adaptive thinking as well as their ability to articulate arguments from diverse perspectives. It deepens their understanding of key issues and policy debates, challenges assumptions, and broadens perspectives. This year, our debaters have significantly enhanced their research and presentation skills, proving their mettle in competitions such as the Singapore Secondary Schools Debating Championships, Raffles The Debate Club empowers students with intellectual and oratorical skills, honing their critical and

This strengthens their understanding of key issues and policy debates, challenges assumptions, and broadens perspectives. This year, our debaters pit their wits against peers from other schools at competitions such as the Singapore Secondary Schools Debating Championships and the Raffles
Debate Academy U14s Debating Championships These platforms offer our students the opportunity to spar with like-minded peers, fostering rigorous argumentation and higher order thinking skills. The club completed its transition to a Talent Development Programme in June 2026 as it welcomed potential debaters from Lower Secondary who displayed their critical thinking and oratory prowess in the English Oracy programme. These Lower Secondary students trained
with the Senior debaters and debate coaches as they gained experience in the PESA, Orator’s Trophy and Raffles Debate Academy U14s Debating Championships this year.
