Introduction to PL21 2.0
PL21 2.0 is a refreshed cohort-wide programme for all Secondary 1 PL-Lites focused on broadening and deepening students’ 21CC with the use of technology for problem solving in a real-world context.
Objectives PL21 2.0
Equip PL-Lites with 21st Century Competencies (21CC) through the use of technology:
Leverage technology to enhance problem-solving skills and prepare students for real-world challenges.
Develop PL-Lites who are
Confident: Leaders and effective team players.
Compassionate: Demonstrating care and concern for others.
Concerned citizens: Possessing a strong sense of belonging and love for Singapore while being globally aware of world issues.
Excite PL-Lites about developing innovative solutions:
Encourage the creation of solutions, with or without technology, and provide opportunities for these solutions to be applied in authentic, real-world contexts.
Develop PL-Lites of diverse profiles through a tiered programme:
Tier 1 – All students: Leverage technology to deepen 21CC and ensure foundational competencies.
Tier 2 – Higher ability students: Access specialized programmes such as:
ACE (STEM): Focused on advanced STEM-related skills.
GSP: For global perspectives and higher-order problem-solving.
