Harp Ensemble
The Harp Ensemble brings music to school and community events, performing a varied repertoire from classical works to bossa nova. Through ensemble playing, bonding and peer support, members grow in confidence, friendship and musicianship while sharing the joy of music.
The Harp Ensemble weaves together four sections, each playing a unique role, from providing the bass accompaniment to carrying the melody, blending seamlessly to create rich and harmonious music. Beyond developing musicality techniques, meaningful friendships are forged through bonding activities and a supportive buddy system, where members guide and support one another through their journey of growth, creating a nurturing and caring environment. There are various opportunities where the girls serve with their gifts through school events such as National Day concert, PL110 Musical Montage and external performances, as they present a diverse repertoire ranging from bossa nova-inspired arrangements to classical works, displaying the versatility of the harp and the adaptability of the girls in playing the instrument to convey the beauty of each piece. With the variety of experiences gained in PL Cherubs, the girls grow in confidence while exemplifying the H.E.A.R.T. values and using the gift of music to uplift and inspire others.
